Head of Israeli Blood Bank Services visits SSRI

SSRI had occasion to welcome Prof. Eliat Shinar, head of Israeli Blood Bank Services, to our facility on 23 August 2010. Whilst on-site Prof. Shinar had opportunity to personally tour our laboratories and discuss potential applications of our research to the work of her organisation. Dr. Kaseko chairs the Hybridoma Technology and Antibody Gene Manipulation session at the BIT Life Sciences’ 2nd Annual International Congress of Antibodies

In recognition of the significant advances made in hybridoma technology at SSRI, and its relevance to antibody gene manipulation, Dr. Galina Kaseko was invited to chair the Hybridoma Technology and Antibody Gene Manipulation session at the BIT Life Sciences’ 2nd Annual International Congress of Antibodies in Beijing, China, on 24 March 2010. Nobel Laureate Visits SSRI

On 19 February 2010, everybody at SSRI was delighted to experience the rare privilege of welcoming Professor Ada Yonath, joint winner of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, to our facility. Professor Yonath, together with Venkatraman Ramakrishnan and Thomas Steitz, mapped the detailed structure of ribosomes, which translate the genetic code of DNA into the many thousands of proteins that form the building blocks and micro machinery animating all living things.
